Prior to forming my own firm, Laiza Ashraf, CPA, MBA spend seventeen years working in a variety of roles within the accounting function across a range of industries. Her tenure in accounting includes positions at Stryker, Kellogg’s, Ernst& Young, Etihad Airways, SSR Mining and Republic Services. At each of these roles Laiza worked on getting exposure to a range of accounting activities, as a result she was able to work her way up from a Staff Accountant to a Controller. As such, she is comfortable providing services ranging from bookkeeping to controller functions such as compiling financial statements, to building budgets and forecasts in a variety of industries. Her deep admiration for the entrepreneurial spirit of small business owners is the primary motivation behind her work. In her career, she has the daily opportunity to act as an advisor and partner alongside small business owners, entrepreneurs, investors, and their families. Laiza received both her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Master’s in Business Administration degree with a focus on Finance from Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, Michigan. Laiza is also a licensed Certified Public Accountant from the State of Michigan. In her free time, Laiza enjoys hiking, yoga and spending time with her family.
